The UPC token supply schedule is designed to be balanced and intended for the long-term growth and sustainability of the UPCX project.

UPC Release Schedule

Ecosystem​

Ecosystem quotas are intended for long-term growth and sustainability and are released to the market over a 50-year period. Rewards are paid according to block generation, and the block generation reward is designed to be halved every five years.

Approximately 50% of the total issued amount of 780,000,000 UPC (in number 391,959,960 UPC) will be allocated to the ecosystem, of which 150,000,000 UPC will be lent to Witnesses for staking purposes. The remaining 241,959,960 UPC will be distributed over 50 years as staking rewards.

Rewards​

Incentives for referral programs and subsidies for grant programs are allocated on a project-to-project basis. In order to avoid excessive fluctuations in the released amount due to the number of active projects during a certain timeframe, a limited amount is allocated each month based on a straight-line scheduled budget.

Referral Rewards​

From May 2025, the start of the referral program, until October 2029, a total amount of 78,000,000 UPC (10% of the total issued amount of 780,000,00 UPC) will be scheduled in a straight-line fashion.

Grant Rewards​

78,000,000 UPC, which is 10% of the total issued amount of 780,000,000 UPC, is scheduled according to the straight-line method and distributed for each period.

  • 33.3% in 24 months from July 2024 to June 2026
  • 66.6% in 40 months from July 2026 to October 2029

Development​

We have estimated the cost for developing the various functions listed in Roadmap and scheduled them based on the straight-line method.

62,400,000 UPC, which is 8% of the total issued amount of 780,000,000 UPC, is scheduled according to the straight-line method and distributed for each period.

  • 80% in 32 months from the Token Generation Event (TGE) to June 2026
  • 20% for 40 months from July 2026 to October 2029

Marketing​

We estimate the costs for various services and schedule them according to the straight-line method. 78,000,000 UPC, which is 10% of the total issued amount of 780,000,000 UPC, is scheduled according to the straight-line method and distributed for each period.

  • 60% in 20 months from the Token Generation Event (TGE) to June 2025
  • 30% for 12 months from July 2025 to June 2026
  • 10% for 40 months from July 2026 to October 2029

Team​

34,840,040 UPC, which is approximately 5% of the total issued amount of 780,000,000 UPC, is scheduled for 24 months according to the straight-line method, starting 24 months after TGE.

Early Backers​

Regarding the initial contributor's holdings, 46,000,000 UPC will be released to the market 6 months after the TGE, an additional 8,300,000 UPC will be released after 6 months (= 12 months after the TGE), and an additional 2,500,000 UPC will be released after another 6 months (= 18 months after the TGE).
