UPCX-Platforms PTE. LTD. The companies have agreed to:

VNX, based in Liechtenstein and registered under the Blockchain Act by the Financial Market Authority (FMA) of Liechtenstein, generates multi-chain tokens "VNX Euro (VEUR)" and "VNX Swiss Franc (VCHF)" referencing the Euro and Swiss franc, the two major legal currencies of the EU. VNX stablecoins combine the advantages of traditional currencies with the convenience of cryptocurrencies, enabling quick, low-cost, and 24/7 international transfers, and provide opportunities for extensive DeFi (Decentralized Finance) with stable assets. [17 February 2024, Singapore] – UPCX-Platforms PTE. LTD. (referred to as "UPCX"), the developer of an open-source payment system built on a high-speed blockchain optimised for financial services, proudly announces its agreement to support the World Aquatics events, including the World Aquatics Championships - Doha 2024 and the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024.

UPCX and World Aquatics 2024 Partnership

The World Aquatics Championships will take place in the Qatari capital city from 2-18 February 2024 and will feature six aquatic sports – swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming and high diving.

The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 tour will take place in three Asian cities over three consecutive weeks in October and November 2024. The events will feature three days of action-packed racing in the short course (25m) pool in Shanghai (CHN), Incheon (KOR), and Singapore (SGP).

As the international governing body overseeing six aquatic sports, World Aquatics' agreement with UPCX will bring awareness to UPCX’s blockchain-driven payment platform.

During the World Aquatics Championships and Swimming World Cup, the UPCX logo will feature prominently on athlete race bibs as well as across a range of digital content.

UPCX is dedicated to improving financial solutions and payments using blockchain technology, with a focus on ensuring a readily accessible approach for consumers.

World Aquatics Executive Director Brent Nowicki welcomed the initiative with UPCX.

“UPCX DEX” is UPCX’s unique decentralized exchange that facilitates seamless conversion between various currency pairs and enables timely, accurate, and cost-effective transfers between senders and recipients. The closed beta version is scheduled to be released in May 2024 and we are planning to look for users to try out this service in advance of its official release.

In the closed beta version we plan to accomplish the following:

  • Trade and exchange "UPC" and "UIA"s on the testnet. ("UPC" is UPCX’s native token and "UIA"s are digital tokens created and managed by users or organizations within UPCX).

  • Check transaction history and transaction details on the UPCX block explorer

By conducting this test, UPCX aims to enhance its understanding of user needs and to further improve the services and functionalities of its "UPCX DEX", getting several steps closer toward its official release.
