Towards building eco-friendly next-generation IT infrastructure using blockchain technology and providing new solutions for companies that handle data.

UPCX x PJP Eye Partnership

UPCX-Platforms PTE. LTD. (‘UPCX’), a developer of open-source payment systems based on a high-speed blockchain technology, optimized for payment and financial services, and PJP Eye Ltd. (‘PJP Eye’) have recently signed an outsourcing agreement aimed the leveraging of the strengths of both companies to create new value in areas such as the implementation of environmentally friendly IT infrastructure.

The development of the digital society has significantly improved the convenience of people's lives, but at the same time, there is the increase of the amount of data to be processed which has led to a serious social problem of increased power consumption in the data centers to process this data. PJP Eye has been focusing on the development of high-efficiency batteries since its early stage and has received positive feedback externally for its solutions in this field, such as the operation of environmentally friendly data centers using these batteries.

Also, in recent years, the emergence of blockchain, crypto assets and NFTs have also revolutionized the fintech domain. While the software side of the industry has been evolving rapidly with improved algorithms, the need for hardware evolution has tended to be overlooked. In particular, the increase of the power consumption is a major concern, and to promote new technologies, it is necessary to search for eco-friendly ways to reduce power consumption and other aspects of infrastructure development that are in line with the coming age.

At this point, UPCX and PJP Eye have entered into a business alliance agreement to work together to address these challenges and to provide solutions together, with UPCX working on the software side and PJP Eye on the hardware side to build a system that maximizes performance per power consumption of the blockchain. In addition, PJP Eye will provide UPCX with the company's academic backing (Kyushu University) and other information necessary for the creation of new problem-solving businesses. We believe that this cooperation will bring a new era in our mutual business development and future opportunities for the further partnership.
