(Headquarters: Singapore; CEO: Makoto Nakano; hereinafter “UPCX”), the developer of an open-source payment system built on a high-speed blockchain optimized for payment and financial services, has officially reintroduced the features and development background of “UPCX Bridge,” a cross-chain functionality that enables bi-directional transfer of UPC tokens between the UPCX chain and the Ethereum chain.
The bridge has been operating stably since January 18, 2024, and is already being actively used by many users. Given its central role in the growth of the UPCX ecosystem, we are taking this opportunity to share more details.
Background and Purpose of Development
UPCX launched its mainnet in October 2024, which is now fully operational. As a result, the need for seamless integration between UPC tokens previously issued on the Ethereum chain (ERC-20) and the native UPCX chain has significantly increased.
The “UPCX Bridge” was developed to eliminate barriers between the two chains, providing high interoperability that allows users and developers to freely transfer assets. This interoperability merges the strengths of both ecosystems: UPCX’s high-speed, low-cost performance and Ethereum’s vast user base and liquidity, opening the door to new service innovations.
